Rideau Street between King Edward Avenue and Nelson Street will be closed July 6 to August 28, 2009 as part of the King Edward Avenue Reconstruction Project. This project involves the installation of a new watermain, sewer replacement, burial of overhead utilities and completion of roadway reconstruction.
Although detours will be posted, increased traffic congestion is anticipated in the area and motorists are asked to use alternative routes where feasible. Local and emergency vehicle access will be maintained. Businesses will remain open as usual.
The construction will impact OC Transpo bus routes 7, 12, 14, 15, 18, 306 and 316. For further transit information, call 613-741-4390 or visit octranspo.com.
