Residents are invited to go back in time and experience The New Era of Communication at Cumberland Heritage Village Museum on Sunday, July 5, 2009. The whole family can enjoy 1920s- and ‘30s-era films and explore the great technological changes in the field of communication. Take the kids to see period equipment in operation and explore the children’s discovery area.

The 25-hectare Cumberland Heritage Village Museum interprets rural life in the 1920s and ‘30s. The living museum features 29 buildings including a fire hall, church, community hall railway station and working sawmill plus live farm animals. The Cumberland Museum is located 30 minutes east of downtown Ottawa at 2940 Old Montreal Road.
