Canada’s Capital Region – The National Capital Commission (NCC) wishes to advise the residents and visitors of the capital region of changes to Winterlude’s sound and light show schedule. For technical reasons due to the visit of United States President Barack Obama, no presentations of the sound and light show will take place on Thursday, February 19. However, due to public demand, two evening presentations have been added on Friday, February 20 and Saturday, February 21 at 9:30 pm. ADDITIONAL PRESENTATIONS Winterlude’s Sound and Light Show, Ukiuk Date: Friday, February 20, and Saturday, February 21 Time: 9:30 pm Location: American Express® Snowbowl, in Ottawa (on the Rideau Canal Skateway — Rideau Street) Ukiuk means “winter” in Inuktitut. Giant images, dazzling lighting, pyrotechnic effects and a captivating soundtrack will take audience members on a rich journey through Canadian winters, from shadow into light. Showtimes for the final weekend (this Friday and Saturday) · Friday, February 20 and Saturday, February 21, at 7 pm, at approximately 8:30 pm (following the American Express® Snowbowl headline performer); and at 9:30 pm.
