Fatal fire on Montreal Road

The Ottawa Police Service, in conjunction with the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office, is investigating a fatal fire on Montreal Road.

Emergency services attended the multi-unit residence
shortly after 10 a.m.

A 73-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The
name of the victim is not being released, pending
notification of next of kin.

An autopsy has been ordered by the Coroner’s Office.

Montreal Road between Blair Road and Elmsmere Road remains
closed.
