Grey Cup Celebrations in the ByWard Market

It’s Grey Cup week and the ByWard Market is your place to celebrate! Before, during, and after the big game, come into the Market where a variety of Grey Cup activities will get you into the football spirit and help you to commemorate this exclusive event.

GREY CUP PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Wednesday, November 17 from 7:30 to 9 a.m.

Outdoors, at William and George Street– on the plaza at the South end of 55 ByWard Market Square.

This event is free and open to anyone who would like to attend. Get a free pancake breakfast and an opportunity to meet TEAM 1200’s Buzz, Steve, and Jungle Jim.

There will also be a draw for Grey Cup tickets.

Organized by the City of Calgary Grey Cup Committee and TEAM 1200.

GREY CUP PARTIES AND EVENTS

From Wednesday, November 17 to Sunday, November 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.

ByWard Market businesses are hosting a variety of events in honour of the Grey Cup coming to Ottawa this year. From Fan Appreciation and Meet the Players parties to Game-Day coverage of the big game, the ByWard Market offers fans a festive football experience all week long. With a different experience every day, the Market will keep you celebrating all week long.

In honour of this great event bar hours have been extended one hour. From Thursday, November 18 until Sunday, November 21, bars will be able to remain open until 3 a.m.

Saturday, November 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Through the ByWard Market – York, William, Sussex, George, ByWard and Dalhousie Streets.

Featuring the Calgary Stampeder’s Cheerleaders, seven mounted riders, and two horse draw wagons.
