April 24th - The First Animal-Assisted Support Services Charity Auction & Bridge Builders Event

Equidae Stables is the home of The Therapeutic Riding Association of Ottawa Carleton Inc. where 50 riders with varying disabilities are unable to start their riding lessons due to the collapse of the snow covered arena roof on March 10th, 2008. The Canadian Foundation for Animal-Assisted Support Services will also be accepting checks payable to TROtt or cash donations to help rebuild the arena. Join philanthropist Dave Smith, Harry Kingston a Distinguished ToastMaster (DTM), Joanne Moss, President of the Canadian Foundation for Animal-Assisted Support Services and a panel of great speakers to celebrate this inaugural event. Animal-Assisted Therapy, Guide, Assistance Dogs, and Therapeutic Riding will be showcased, along with community and team building workshops to spearhead the creation of this diverse community.

Innovation Partners International Inc. will introduce Appreciative Inquiry {AI}, an innovative vehicle, to unveil opportunities, strengths, and achievements, to explore the promising possibilities of this new community, voluntary sub-sector, and website portal.
