VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR 2004 GREY CUP FESTIVAL & GAME

Applications are now being accepted for volunteer positions for Grey Cup 2004 and the five-day Kickin it in the Capital Grey Cup Festival in Ottawa.

The host committee for the Canadian Football League’s title game are seeking help from the community for all the festivities surrounding the event. From the kick-off event on Wednesday, November 17 right up to game day on Sunday November 21 there are volunteer opportunities at events across the city.

“We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to share their time, energy and spirit to welcome Grey Cup visitors,” says Kristina Sparkes, Volunteer Coordinator for Grey Cup 2004.

Volunteers will be asked to sign up for a minimum of six to eight hours, spread over one or two shifts, over the five day festival. Each volunteer will receive an exclusive Grey Cup 2004 Reebok shirt and hat, in addition to getting to take part in the festivities.

Drop in information sessions are planned at Ottawa City Hall 110 Laurier Avenue West in Andrew Haydon Hall from 7 p.m. to 9 pm on Wednesday September 29^th. An additional session is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday October 2^nd.

The 92^nd Grey Cup Game will be held on Sunday, November 21 at Frank Clair Stadium in Ottawa. The Renegades are honoured to host Canada’s premiere sporting festival and event. As an organization, the Renegades hope to put on a show that will be regarded as one of the best Grey Cup festivals ever.
