The Ottawa Lynx return home tomorrow Tuesday, June 28th for a four-game

The Lynx game on Thursday night will feature a great pitching matchup,
as the Lynx will start RHP Rick Bauer (who was spent parts of the last
three years with the Baltimore Orioles) against Indianapolis LHP Zach
Duke. Duke is 12-3 this year and was rated as the top prospect in the
Pittsburgh Pirates organization prior to the 2005 season by Baseball
America. The same publication had him rated as the 34th best prospect
in all of Baseball entering this season.
The Lynx currently sport a record of 37-38, which leaves them 10.0 games behind the division leading Buffalo Bisons.

Ottawa Lynx News and Notes:
The Bobby and Bernie Show: The Lynx offense has been led of late by OF
Bobby Darula and 2B Bernie Castro. Darula has been red-hot of late,
hitting safely in 15 of his last 17 games over which time he has gone
25-for-67 (.373) improving his average from .290 to .318. A high
average is nothing new to Darula, who won the Southern League batting
title in 2002 with Chattanooga. 2B Bernie Castro continues to be the
team leader in hitting. Castro has hit safely in 17 of his last 19
games and leads the Lynx with a .323 average (8th in the IL). Castro's
86 base hits are tied for 4th most in the IL.
Steady Eddy: Lynx reliever Eddy Rodriguez has been terrific of late.
After posting an 11.57 ERA in the month of May, Rodriguez has been
lights-out for Ottawa in June. The hard-throwing righty has strung
together 10 consecutive scoreless outings, spanning 12.1 innings
pitched. Over that time Rodriguez have given up only four hits, and
has seen his ERA drop from 5.72 to 3.34.
Goin' Yard: Last night Midre Cummings hit his 7th homer of the year for
the Lynx in only his 25th game. Cummings, who missed the first two
months of the season after breaking a finger in spring training, hit 27
homers for Triple-A Durham last year. Alejandro Freire leads the Lynx
with 10 homers, while Walter Young is second with nine.
Visiting With Indy: The Indianapolis lineup will feature one face
familiar to Lynx fans, as 3B Jose Leon (who played with Ottawa in parts
of 2003 and 2004) is now with the Indians.
