For some, rock n roll is a lifestyle. For Ryan and Sam Weber, two brothers from Baltimore, rock n roll is life. Between the teenage years spent playing underage in Maryland dive bars, the pilgrimage to the home of their hero Ronnie Hawkins, the hard lessons learned in his fabled 90-day rock n roll boot camp, countless tours through the US, Canada and Europe, and eight independent albums to their name, The Weber Brothers are known not only for their undeniable ability as musicians and performers, but also for their indelible devotion to their craft.

Ive been in a band with my brother for 20 years now, says Sam Weber. I cant remember a time when there wasn't something going on. Touring, recording, writing, performing. Its just never stopped. Its what we do.

They've shared the stage with their heroes, (Ronnie Hawkins, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, Kris Kristofferson, Derek Trucks, Johnnie Johnson, Leon Russell, etc) played a few thousand of shows, and have built a reputation as one of the best bands in the country. In October 2012 the brothers were invited to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame American Music Masters Tribute to Chuck Berry in Cleveland where they shared the stage with Merle Haggard, Lemmy Kilmister, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Rick Derringer, Joe Bonamassa, Earl Slick, Steve Jordan and the father of Rock and Roll himself, Chuck Berry. From festival stages to the club circuit, concert halls to theatres, alongside their long time keyboard man Shai Cookie Peer and young hot shot Marcus Browne on drums, the brothers pride themselves on delivering an unforgettable show.

Ronnie always says that playing music is a lot like boxing. And that's true, in that every time you go out there, you learn something. You get better. If you stay open to it and work at it, then you improve a little every time. Says Sam. Things come together. Weve been working towards a lot of things for a long time. And they do come. We just did a bunch of festivals this summer, played to some big crowds. More people are responding, and that's pretty good incentive to keep this thing going. Were playing better than we ever have.

The Weber Brother bring their high-energy musical experience to Ottawa  Saturday, Dec 8th at The Elmdale Tavern with local band Fathers of Modern Rocketry kicking things off. Show time 9 - 1. Tickets are only $10.

For interviews please call Ryan Weber (705)761-8089.
