A "Start Page" is the default page that gets loaded whenever you open your Web browser. You can set your browser so that OttawaStart is your Start Page when you're surfing the net. You won't have to look through bookmarks, do any typing, or sift through any search engines.

Once you've made OttawaStart "start page", you can click on the "Home" icon on the button bar at the top of your browser, and OttawaStart will automatically load up. You won't have to look through bookmarks, do any typing, or sift through any search engines.

It's easy to change your start page
Just choose the internet browser that you're using to surf the web from the list below:

Internet Explorer
Netscape
Firefox
If your browser isn't listed here, contact us for help.

Under the "Tools" menu, choose "Internet Options".
Click on the "General" tab. Find the "Home page" section.
Type in: http://www.ottawastart.com

Under the "Edit" menu, choose "Preferences".
On the "Navigator" screen, look for the "Home page" box.
Type in: http://www.ottawastart.com
Make sure "Navigator starts with Home Page" is checked.

Firefox

Under "Tools" choose "Options".
On the "General" tab, look for the "Home Page" section.
Type in: http://www.ottawastart.com
Click "Ok"
