The Ottawa Lynx return home tomorrow, Thursday, April 28th to start an eight-game homestand featuring four games with the Buffalo Bisons (Triple-A Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) and four games with the Syracuse SkyChiefs (Triple-A Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays).

Going into this afternoon's game in Scranton, the Lynx sit at 10-7, good for second in the IL North Divison only 0.5 games back of the Red Barons.

TGI Freire: Alejandro Freire's (FRAY-day) big night last night extended his hitting steak to 13 games... He has hit safely in 15 of 16 games that he has played in this year....In 64 at-bats this year he has only struck out 4 times to go along with his team-leading four homers...last night was Freire's 10th multi-hit game of the season and 2nd three-hit game... His 17 RBI lead the Lynx and are tied for 4th best in the International League.

Leaderboard look: After last night's contest, Alejandro Freire has passed Walter Young and now leads the IL in hitting at .422. Young is now second only three points behind at .419. 2B Bernie Castro remains in 7th place at .355, while OF Bobby Darula's two-hit night moved him to 9th in the IL at .347.

Leading The Way: Lynx 2B Bernie Castro has reached base in the first inning in 10 of his last 11 starts.

Big, Bad, Bully: The Ottawa Lynx bullpen has been outstanding thus far, posting a 7-2 record with a 2.84 ERA and 6 saves in 17 games. The bullpen features four pitchers who sport an ERA under 2.00 including: RHP Eddy Rodriguez (1.80), LHP Tim Byrdak (1.08), RHP Aaron Rakers (1.00) and RHP Andy Mitchell (1.00).

Did You Know: The Lynx are 2nd in the IL with a .292 average... Ottawa has hit . 261 in 12 games on the road compared to .367 in five games at Lynx Stadium... Ottawa pitchers have walked only 34 batters thus far this season (fewest in the IL), which is much different than the 2004 club who led the IL with 119 walks in April (5.67/9.0 innings).. thus far this season Ottawa pitchers have walked (2.09/9.0 IP).

New Face: The Lynx roster features one new face since Ottawa left for their road trip, as INF Enrique Wilson has now joined the club. The former Yankee Infielder has started three games for the Lynx and is searching for his first base hit.

Visiting Bisons: Former Lynx INF Brandon Phillips and OF Darnell McDonald will come to Ottawa as members of the Buffalo Bisons.
