In an unprecedented fan-centric gesture, Boots and Hearts Music Festival is thrilled to announce today that they will be honouring general admission tickets that had been purchased for the recently cancelled Capital Hoedown Festival that was to take place in Ottawa this summer.

"It’s disappointing to invest time and money in anticipation of an exciting weekend of country music and not have a festival to attend,” said Shannon McNevan, partner and executive director at Republic Live, the producers behind Boots and Hearts.  “A cancellation of this nature negatively affects the entire Ontario country music market, from the fans confidence to buy tickets in advance to the agents of global superstars being afraid to book their artists at our festivals in the future.  We believe it's in the best interest of everyone involved, and for the future of country music festivals in this market, to ensure that if you've already invested your money, you have a chance to enjoy what you paid for.  For this reason, we're happy to give all Hoedown ticket holders that have not received refunds the opportunity to come and experience Boots and Hearts with us this year."

Starting today, country fans wishing to have their tickets honoured for the Boots and Hearts Festival can visit “http://www.bootsandhearts.com/ticket-exchange/" to complete the process. A one-day pass from Capital Hoedown will be valid for a one-day pass at Boots and Hearts, and three-day pass will warrant a three-day wristband for Boots and Hearts. Fans should be ready with the following information to have their tickets validated for the Boots and Hearts equivalent:

So festival organizers can better prepare for the arrival of the additional guests, the chance to take advantage of this opportunity will only be available until Friday August 3, at 5pm EST. A small service fee will apply. VIP tickets purchased for Capital Hoedown can be upgraded to include the Boots and Hearts VIP experience. You can view the VIP Boots and Hearts information at http://www.bootsandhearts.com/tickets/vip/.

Boots and Hearts Festival Promises an Amazing Experience for All Ages

The Festival, which is taking place in Bowmanville at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park from August 10 - 12th, includes some of the biggest names in country music: Tim McGraw, Kid Rock, Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, Alabama, Big and Rich, Sheryl Crow, Paul Brandt, Gord Downie and the Sadies, Kevin Costner and Modern West, Terri Clark, Lauren Alaina, and many more.

For those coming from out of town or just wanting to enjoy the full festival experience, camping permits are available and start at $90.99 for a site that holds up to 8 campers. Three-day and single day passes are still available for Boots and Hearts as well. All tickets and passes can be purchased at http://www.bootsandhearts.com/.

In addition to the 40 plus bands on two stages over the three days, Boots and Hearts will feature BOOMTOWN, where fans can enjoy the midway with a ferris wheel and games, an air-conditioned sports bar at Laker Ranch, beach volleyball and horseshoes at the Seagram Beach, a mechanical bull riding competition with Durango boots, and shaded groves in which to relax. BOOMTOWN will also be a hotspot to visit because it includes over 50 food, craft and merchandise vendors.

A Family Zone, sponsored by Royal Service Real Estate, will be fully equipped with bouncy castles, an exotic petting zoo, and pony, camel, and elephant rides.  And just when fans think the day is winding down, Boots and Hearts will be ramping up the fun with nightly after-parties making this a festival that country fans will not want to miss!

The Boots and Hearts Music Festival and its sponsor, the Republic Live Limited Partnership are not affiliated with the Capital Hoedown or its sponsor, Concert International, Inc.  The "one-for-one" ticket exchange promotion is not endorsed by Concert International, Inc., or Front Gate Tickets.
