INTERNET LEADS FIRST DAY OF ON-SALE FOR AVRIL LAVIGNE SHOW
The Corel Centre announced that this morning's 10:00 am on-sale of Avril Lavigne's July 14 show experienced 75% of ticket sales through the Internet at www.CapitalTickets.ca, 15% by phone, 6% at the Corel Centre box office and 4% at Sports Experts outlet locations. Excellent seats are still available for the April Lavigne show, with all tickets at $48.75 (including GST) plus convenience fees and CRF.
This is the second strong result for Internet transactions through CapitalTickets.ca in the past two weeks. On March 19, the November U2 Vertigo 2005 Tour at the Corel Centre went on sale with 73% of tickets sold through the Internet, 11% at the Corel Centre box office, 8% by phone and another 8% at Sports Experts outlet locations.
The sale of tickets through the Internet continues to be the main vehicle of purchase and is proving to be the fastest growing sales channel for Capital Tickets.
Tickets for various entertainment and sport events available through CapitalTickets.ca are available online at www.CapitalTickets.ca, by phone 599-FANS (3267) or toll-free 1-877-788-FANS (3267), at Sports Experts locations in the Ottawa-Gatineau region and at the Corel Centre box office.
Since its inception in August 2003, CapitalTickets.ca has sold tickets for events from Ottawa Senators hockey games to the 2004 and 2005 Canadian Tulip Festival. CapitalTickets.ca recently added ticket sales for Ottawa Renegades football games.
