It is harvest time! To celebrate, Savvy Company invites you to join us for Ottawas harvest festival that we have been working on all spring & summer.
Mark your calendars from September 22 to 25 & join us at La Vendemmia (Italian word for harvest) for a celebration of wine, food and art. This fun filled 4 day harvest festival takes place in Ottawas Little Italy. Round up colleagues from work, neighbours & friends or bring the whole family there are free & ticketed events as well as charity fundraisers - something fun for everyone.
Here's a look at all of the wine & food events - even a grape stomp! - during La Vendemmia. The Savvy Team looks forward to seeing you there!
Thursday September 22 A very popular event! In groups of 12, we will stop in at different Italian & international restaurants where the chefs & owners are waiting to host you with their signature dishes. Each course of your gourmet meal will be paired with delicious wines that have been thoughtfully paired to perfection by the Savvy Team of Sommeliers .
Advance Tickets only: $99 per person includes HST OR gather 4 friends & save $20

Friday September 23 - Savvy Company is delighted to co-host this fun event with renowned musician Julian Armour and the Music and Beyond Festival. Together we have created a fun evening beginning with an Italian wine tasting led by Savvy Sommeliers. Enjoy hors doeuvres made by the chefs at Trattoria Caffe Italia. Then get your bidding number ready as auctioneers - including Savvy Sommelier Debbie Trenholm!- pick up the hammer to auction off a wide variety of wines - a selection of ready to drink wines while others are collectibles for your wine cellar.
This is an ideal event for first time auction goers as well as serious wine collectors. Your $50 ticket price will be credited towards the purchase of wines at the auction. And Savvy Sommeliers will be on hand to provide insight on purchasing vintage wines. See the wines on auction.

Sunday September 25 - Ever wanted to crush grapes with your bare feet? Here is your chance! Round up a team four to participate in the hilarious Sakto Corporation Grape Stomp to raise money for Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. Relay teams are timed as they show off their grape stomping talent, toss pizza dough, scurry to make pasta, then set the table to enjoy an Italian feast theres a catch - your teammates will be blindfolded! Mama Mia!

Sunday September 25 - Dont miss La Vendemmias grand finale event where you will enjoy Italian & international cuisine found on Preston Street. Graze all afternoon with a glass of wine in hand while you discover new favourite dishes, meet the chefs, watch cooking demonstrations & even learn how to create an artistic cappuccino from an accredited barista. Many more fun experiences are in store!

Over the weekend, up and down Preston Street, there will be fun talks, tastings and tours including making wine at Preston Hardware, Olive Oil tastings and Italian language lessons at DiVino Wine Studio.
Discover the importance of art in the neighbourhood with guided walking tours Postcards from the Piazzas led by artist cj fleury, as well as walking tours of Little Italys landmarks led by the entertaining local historian Luciano Pradal.
Cest Bon Cooking will lead delicious culinary walks in English and French visiting food shops and restaurants for a nibbles along the way. The Little Italy Farmers Market will bring local produce to the festival with demonstrations of how to make the most of the bounty, while the streets will be lined with an outdoor Plein Aire Art Paint-out and Sale.
