Notes on our new design

If you're a regular OttawaStart reader, you'll notice that the site looks a bit different today. We've redesigned our site based on your comments and feedback, with the goal of making it easier for you to find the information you need.

Some new features:

Local Press Releases: Since we launched our new Press Release program last fall, over 200 local organizations have signed up to post free news and events listings to our site. This section has quickly become the most popular feature on OttawaStart, so we've given the headlines more prominence on our front page.
Google Search Box: In response to your feedback, we've put the Google search at the top of all our pages -- giving you quick & easy access to the world's number one search engine.
Better Navigation: We're now listing all of our Guides (over 50 of them!) on our left-hand navigation sidebar. Plus, we've consolodated our popular "Quick Links" (like the weather, postal codes, and reverse phone look-up) to this area as well.
Cleaner look: Overall, we've adopted a crisper, simpler look to the site. One of our guiding philosophies has always been, "more information, less clutter".

We hope you like these and other changes. With hundreds of pages on our site to update, I'm sure we've missed a few bugs here and there. If you have any feedback, questions, or comments, please e-mail me via our Feedback Form.
