The National Capital Commission (NCC) invites residents and visitors to join in special activities to celebrate the Labour Day long weekend at the Mackenzie King Estate on Saturday, September 4, Sunday, September 5 and Monday, September 6, from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
ACTIVITIES (1:30 pm to 4:30 pm)
· Folk music concerts by Pardon My French in the gardens at Moorside.
· The season’s last guided tour of the Mackenzie King Estate gardens conducted by our volunteer guides dressed in period costumes.
· Old-fashioned games that the whole family can enjoy.
· Soap making demonstrations offered by the Olivier Chelsea Soapery.
· Fabrication of welded objects and tools, using old fashion techniques, by a welder from the Musée-village du patrimoine de Cumberland.
· Construction of stone walls, like the ones found at the Estate, by a specialist from the Dry Stone Wall Association of Canada.
· Delicious corn roast prepared by the Mackenzie King Tearoom ($).
Activities will take place rain or shine.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Summer Hours of Operation
From May 15 to September 6, 2010, the Estate will be open:
· everyday from 11 am to 5 pm.
Fall Hours of Operation
From September 7 to October 17, 2010 the Estate will be open:
· weekdays from 11 am to 5 pm, and
· on weekends and statutory holidays from 10 am to 5 pm.
Mackenzie King Tearoom is open everyday from 11 am to 5 pm. For more information or reservations, please call 819-827-3405.

$8 Day pass – car
$30 Day pass – minibus (20 passengers or less)
$50 Day pass – bus
$65 Season’s pass (access to all Gatineau Park beaches and Leamy Lake beach, and Mackenzie King Estate)
