A new Ottawa Public Health (OPH) vaccination clinic is opening November 19 in the Barrhaven Crossing Mall at 3500 Fallowfield Rd. The hours of operation for this clinic are 2:30 to 8:30 p.m. on weekdays and weekends from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until further notice. As at all City clinics, wristbands for this site will be issued at 9 a.m. on weekdays and 7:30 a.m. on weekends. With the new fixed site in Barrhaven, the roving clinics scheduled for the Walter Baker Sports Centre will be cancelled. I am very pleased that a fixed clinic is opening in Barrhaven, said Councillor Jan Harder. It is important to reach as many residents as we can who want access to the best defence against the H1N1 flu virus. With the fixed clinic at the Vanier Richelieu Community Centre temporarily closing November 19 to 22, a one-day roving clinic will be held Saturday, November 21 at the Cyrville Recreation Centre on 4355 Halmont Dr. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Ottawa Hospital is considering opening public vaccination clinics. The exact days, hours of operation, and locations will be announced tomorrow. For more information on the H1N1 vaccination clinics, visit ottawa.ca/health or contact the Ottawa Public Health Information Line at 613-580-6744.
